Context/Scope: Diageo VN with ambition to be significant growth year on year

Financial: Diageo VN business of GBP40M

Market Complexity: Handle both purchase of Supply, Demand

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholders: Vietnam GM, Vietnam Supply Director, Vietnam Finance Director, Vietnam Sales Director, Vietnam Customer Marketing Director.
  • Relationships: SEA Brand Managers, Vietnam Supply Team, SEA Procurement team, Team members from Global Procurement, Team members from SEA Supply.

Purpose of Role:

  • As the Procurement Manager in Vietnam, this is a key role in our SEA Procurement organisation.
  • It will enable Vietnam to maximise cost saving opportunities, drive cash improvement and build the foundation to deliver sustainable performance.
  • It will be key to develop and implement cross functional category strategy in Vietnam in line with SEA and GlobalProcurement goals.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities

  • Drive cost out: partner with Finance, Marketing, Customer Marketing and Supply to identify major opportunities to drive cost out and add value in and lead key projects though Category Management
  • Cash optimisation: extend payment terms and support Supplier Financing Program.
  • Compliance: Ensure high level of Compliance and use the tools in place to minimise risks (risk footprint matrix, BCP, Sedex, contract compliance, SRM compliance, partner on KYBP program)
  • Develop, track, report, analysis budget and manage result
  • Own Master Vendor Role for Vietnam.

 Qualifications and Experience Required: 

  • At least 5-7 years’ experience in Brand, Trade MKT, Supply and Overhead  Procurement
  • Must have good understanding of Category Management
  • Must have proven leadership skills and possess excellent judgement
  • Must have ability to build relationships quickly across all levels in the organisation and across different cultures
  • Commitment to growing self against Leadership Standard
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook
  • SAP experience is preferred
