Key Responsibilities

Customer relations:
• Be fully familiar and updated with Damco service scopes, service patterns, acceptance policies and, all other matters of the same nature.
• Coordinate with Customer services to make sure cargo will be received smoothly at airport without receiving complaints from customer.
• Be the contact point to Customer service for daily physical cargo handling at airport/warehouse or terminal (trouble handling: cargo damage/ cargo missing/ document missing, etc)
• Be the first contact point to customers when cargo is delivered to airport
• Maintain good relationship with customer.
• Attend customer’s request on time.
• Keep customers/ Customer service fully & correctly updated on the cargo information.
• Fully acknowledge and train airport handling team on SOP and customer relations.
• High and positive scores from Customers in Customers’ Satisfaction Survey.
• On-time report to management level
Factory implant/Terminal operation:
• Execute orders as request of customers as agreed guidelines and SOP.
• Smoothen the inbound and outbound procedure
• 100% accuracy in documentation handling
• Apply good practice to airport handling team
• Collect documents from vendors and dispatch to the right receivers if requested.
• Ensure to follow Damco’s global guideline for operations activities. No additional cost due to mishandling
• Ensure the systems related KPIs meet requirements
• Keep customer/ customer services/ airlines informed of changes which may affect the agreed cargo planning.
• Ensure all applicable charges are collected from relevant parties and report immediately to Team Leader if any payment is not settled timely.
• Report service or business failure to Team Leader/ Manager
• Provide feedback on product and process improvement to Team Leader/ Manager
• Adhere all new procedures instructed by Customer service or in latest SOP version and revert to Team Leader if there is any challenge related to these new procedures.
• Work closely with Customer Service, Suppliers, Airlines operation staffs, Airport operation satff and other support teams to achieve customer’s satisfaction.
• Communicate with internal and external Customers constructively and, in the most professional manner – instilling confidence in the Customers.
• Prepare operational reports assigned by Team Leader / Manager
• Under direction, supervises the airport handling team and daily operations; and make sure airport rules and regulations are complied.
• Plans, coordinates and supervises the daily operations of the Airport; ensures adequate resource to cover 24- hours work shifts of airport operations and security; oversees the collection of documents; and prepares and maintains operational records.
• Assists customers, managers who visit the airport; provides information regarding airport operations; explains airport operation procedure and ensures compliance with same.
• Manages assigned resources; identifies needed materials, supplies and equipment; prepares purchase requisitions as needed; and prepares administrative request
• Responds to airport emergencies as needed, including those emergencies that occur during off duty hours; and directs personnel in airport emergencies.
• Performs work of Airport Workers as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned
